Invisibles

Mural created during the Asalto Festival 2025. Many thanks to the entire team for the invitation and for the excellent management and organization of the project.

Invisibles is a community project carried out in collaboration with the Zaragoza shelter for homeless people. The mural was designed after a workshop with the shelter’s users, where I got to know them, they shared their roots with me, and I learned from them and about their difficult situation in Zaragoza. The intention of the mural is to give visibility and respect to this vulnerable group that feels invisible both socially and institutionally.

The painting shows a group of people falling down the wall; these figures are transparent, and we can glimpse the background of the scene through their almost invisible silhouettes.

This composition aims to be a metaphor for how these people feel socially: invisible, falling, and supporting one another in this uncontrolled social downfall, where the lower it takes them, the harder their reintegration will be.

As part of the project, we invited the shelter’s users to paint with me, and if that wasn’t enough, we also organized a rap concert where one of the participants shared some lyrics inspired by the festival and the mural.
